Our story
Built on craftsmanship, not headcount.
Refurb Squad Ltd was founded in 2014 by Jay Reid, a City & Guilds qualified registered plumbing engineer and PRINCE2 certified project manager. Jay learned the trade on the tools alongside his father before setting up his own company, bringing 15 years of hands-on construction experience to every project he now runs personally.
Twelve years later the company still runs the way Jay founded it: a settled crew of 3-5 tradespeople, one accountable founder on every job, and a fixed-price quote agreed in writing before the first tool comes out. We don't chase volume. We take on projects we can deliver personally, from a single bathroom refit through to a full-house refurbishment with a rear extension on the back.
We work almost exclusively across North & West London, St John's Wood, Hampstead, Kensington, Chiswick and the surrounding postcodes, because staying local is what lets us keep response times short and quality controlled.
